Buffalo DWI Attorney Discusses an Aggravated DWI
As an experienced Buffalo DWI Attorney I am often asked about aggravated DWI. Aggravated DWI is a relatively newer law in New York State as it pertains to drinking and driving. This law pertains to individuals who score, for lack of a better term, a 0.18 or higher on the breathalyzer. The importance of this law is that it’s a misdemeanor. The penalties are much stiffer; minimum $1,000 fine to $2500, with a one-year potential jail term and a license revocation of one year.
