Buffalo Divorce Lawyer Discusses a No Fault Divorce
If you are considering a divorce, it’s important to understand the process and requirements you need to follow. As a Buffalo Divorce Lawyer, I am often asked what a No Fault Divorce is, and how it can help. In New York State, a no-fault divorce means that there is no one to blame, and no reason for the divorce other than the marriage has been irretrievably broken down, or the spouses have irreconcilable differences for at least 6 months prior to the proceedings. By filing a no-fault divorce, you are able to move forward with the divorce proceedings without the other spouse preventing you. It is also faster and less expensive than a fault divorce because you don’t have to prove your spouses fault in court.
